Silver Bracelet, Stone Bracelet, Earrings c/o Ilenova Chloe & Isabel

Today is my End of Clerkship exam for Internal Medicine 1, which means that I will be enjoying a weekend that is study-free! I am loving these beautiful Chloe & Isabel pieces from their spring collection, Undreamed Shores. I usually shy away from big earrings, but these are definitely the exception to my rule! When paired with the coordinating bracelets, a polished ponytail, and sea-toned hues throughout the outfit, they combine to make a fresh ensemble. Be sure to check out the unique, show-stopping pieces that Ilenova Chloe & Isabel Boutique has to won't be disappointed with the product or the amazing customer service! I'm ready for a relaxing weekend with some of my favorite people. What are your plans?

When I was in third grade, I started to fail my math tests because I couldn't see the problems that were written on the board. My mom knew something was wrong, because I was her math-and-science-loving child! She took me to the eye doctor, I got my first pair of glasses, and didn't stop talking the entire way home..."MOM! The trees have LEAVES!...MOM! I can read our street sign!!..." :)

In middle school and high school, glasses weren't exactly "cool". I was never teased for wearing them, but they weren't a "must have" accessory, either. Every year or two, I would get a new pair and wince as I (or my parents) had to spend a few hundred dollars on new frames and lenses. But wince no more, my friends! I present to you one of the easiest, most stress-free ways of finding budget-friendly specs: GlassesUSA!

This site has hundreds of styles to choose from, and most of them are under $100. I chose the U 40 Tortoise because I had wanted to try a bigger, trendier frame and I LOVE them!! The site is easy to use and navigate, the customer service is great, and they even have a virtual mirror feature where you can "try on" the frames using a picture that you take of yourself on your webcam! If you are in need of new specs, be sure to check out GlassesUSA, and use code "BLOG10" for 10% off of your order. Check out their Facebook and Twitter pages for more exclusive discounts!

Disclaimer: I was gifted the glasses mentioned above by GlassesUSA. All opinions and photos are my own.

Happy Monday, fashionistas! This week, I had the Blog Baton on Wednesday! It is a super cool idea started by Mason...each day, a new blogger takes over the Instagram account and posts snapshots of their day. It is a fun way to "meet" other bloggers and see what their daily lives look like! My day was spent seeing patients, charting a TON, a delicious drug rep sponsored dinner at The Melting Pot, and snuggles from a sweet pup!

Yesterday's message at church really spoke to me, and reminded me of something that I struggle with. The series is titled "Hustled" (listen to the message here), and addresses the misconception that our money is our own, instead of it being God's money that we are given to manage responsibly. As I said in this post, I sometimes struggle with sticking to my budget and telling myself "no" when it comes to shopping. I have been doing better since the first of the year, but I still pray for strength and work on this daily. Adam and I have decided to take Financial Peace classes starting in March...I am excited to start our lives together on a financially responsible note! Here are some verses that I am praying about this week:

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6:21

"Like a city whose walls are broken through, so is a person who lacks self-control." - Proverbs 25:28

This is exam week, and then I have some fun weekend plans to look forward to! Thanks for your continued love, prayers and sweet comments. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Four Favorites: PA Student Essentials

Four Favorites
Dress | Lippies | iPad Cover | Straws

Today, I am thrilled to be linking up with Ashlyn of Let it Be Beautiful and Kristin of Fancy Things Blog to show you my four favorite things right now! Every Wednesday, these ladies showcase their four favorite items of the week, centered around a preset theme. This week the theme is "random", and that could not be more fitting for where my life is right now...

As you read on Monday, I am working long hours on my current rotation in Internal Medicine. My essentials are these four things:

This layers well with popovers and button downs, sweaters,
scarves, and statement necklaces, leggings and boots.
My favorite canvas for easy outfits!

OBSESSED. They have the texture of a chapstick and
the pigment of a lipstick! There are an essential during
long days. My favorite shades are #luvu and #sweettweet.

My iPad is my sidekick. I use it to look up medications and
dosages, study during my downtime, and maybe peruse a little
social media at lunch :) the cover adds a colorful punch!

4: DIET COKE. And polka dot straws!
My poison of choice is Diet Coke. I usually accessorize it
with a koozie and polka dot straw...(a) so I can identify my drink
and (b) who doesn't love a polka dot straw?!

What are you loving right now? What items can you not live without? Thanks for reading, and please be sure to check out my cohosts Ashlyn and Kristin!

Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I love my sports teams! My favorite colors are Wildcat Blue and Steeler Yellow, and I love dressing in my teams' colors on gamedays (and every other day!). Today, I'm stretching the wearability of one of my favorite shift dresses by turning it into a "skirt" by layering a simple sweater and fabulous statement necklace on top. Voila! Team spirit in the workplace! Do you dress up on gamedays?

GO CATS!! Have a great day, fashionistas! Thanks for reading, and be sure to follow along via Bloglovin', Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Hey fashionistas! I hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day, and that your week is starting off well! I am working 12-16 hours a day in Internal Medicine. While I am exhausted, I really like the practice that I am in, and I am learning a LOT. Just don't have a lot of time for homework...or sleep haha! We round on nursing home patients in the morning and evening, and occasionally do house calls. Our days are spent seeing patients in a clinic setting, with some small procedures thrown in.

With the long hours that I've been working, I have been less than motivated to get up early to do my hair and makeup, let alone outfit plan. I promise I will try to do better this week - for my own personal sake and so I don't look like a bum to my patients :) Do you all prefer single outfit posts (multiple pictures), or a roundup of outfit layouts from the week? I would love to hear your feedback!
