Happy Monday! This past week was my first week of Family Medicine 2. I am at an urgent treatment clinic (UTC) in a nearby town. The commute is about 25 minutes, and the experience is very different than it was last month. I am quickly seeing the difference between private practice and "corporate" medicine! The adjustment was a little bit rockier than I was anticipating, and the message in church this Sunday really resonated with me:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." - Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
It is so easy to lose sight of the big picture when I get busy with my daily stressors and schedule. This piece of scripture really grounded me. I am so blessed to be pursuing a career that I am passionate about, and that I get to serve on a daily basis. I need to remember that it is His work that I carry out each day! What scripture motivates and refreshes you?
Thanks for reading!
